What is The O.N.E. Fund?
FAQ about The O.N.E. Fund
Who is eligible to apply for #ONEfunding?
Any educator/staff member in Keller ISD can apply for funding. The O.N.E. Fund can also provide student support when needed.
How are recipients selected to be #ONEfunded?
There is a simple application process in place that is focused on the number of students impacted on a campus and need. Our goal is to be a resource for educators who need classroom support that otherwise might not be available in the budget. We have a lead administrator for each bucket who will help assess needs and prioritize the most impactful projects, and a response can be expected within 2-4 weeks.
Is there a limit to how many times an individual can apply and how much they can request in funding?
We ask that educators apply no more than twice a year for O.N.E. Funding to assure there is plenty to go around. However, we understand there are exceptions to this rule, especially when a district-wide need is present. If a need exceeds $2,500, please contact our office to discuss prior to submitting an application.
If the Educator Grant deadline has passed, should we use the O.N.E. Fund?
Educator grants are focused on innovation and enhancing classroom experiences and opportunities, while the O.N.E. Fund is focused on needs and essentials. Most ideas that reflect an educator grant would not align with our vision for the O.N.E. Fund.
Is donating to the O.N.E. Fund the same as being a KEF sponsor?
No. Although your gift is tax deductible, there are no sponsorship benefits associated with giving. We still need our sponsors to support Foundation events so that we can continue to provide amazing educator grants, professional development opportunities and student scholarships! The O.N.E. Fund is an independent program and every dollar received goes back to supporting classroom needs and essentials.
Aside from donating to the O.N.E. Fund, how can I help?
The Foundation is actively recruiting volunteers to assist with O.N.E. Fund efforts! We need your help recruiting donors, working with community organizations to host spirit nights, and sharing our message within your networks so that our community can work together to maintain excellence in education for Keller ISD students and teachers.
