Grant Award Process

All Keller ISD Education Foundation Grants are selected using the following criteria:

• The selection committee is comprised of Foundation board members as well as a KISD board member, and KISD employees from the Curriculum and Technology Departments

• The committee members look for innovative, creative approaches to the projects submitted

• All proposals are number-coded with no specific reference to the applicant or their campus available to scoring committee members

• Each grant is scored according to:
  • Innovation
  • Educational Value
  • Applicability
  • Impact/outcomes
  • Challenge
  • Collaboration
  • Future Funding Secured
  • Multidisciplinary
  • Multiplicity
  • Followed Instructions

• Scores are submitted individually, recorded, averaged and ranked. The decisions of the committee are final.

• The grant guidelines and purchasing procedures need to be followed, and all equipment, materials, and ideas will become property of the Keller Independent School District.
